Dear Readers:

I don’t usually write letters from the editor, as I feel the writing we publish at Corium speaks for itself. But I am compelled to recognize some exciting changes at Corium, and to say a few things about this issue, in particular.

First, I could not be more pleased to announce that Joshua Helms has come on board as Assistant Editor. Josh is not only a very talented writer of poetry and fiction, but an outstanding editor who is a valuable and welcome addition to our small family! Heather Fowler, who has been with Corium since its inception in 2010, continues to shine as Poetry Editor. With the expansion of staff, we hope to institute some changes in the future, including updates to our blog and a more streamlined process, so that we may be as responsive as possible.

Second, I am excited that this issue includes not only a number of former contributors, including Glen Pourciau, Ravi Mangla, and Leonard Kress, but is the first or early publication for several, including Christian Linville and Alyssa Carlier. We love to support writers starting out, and are pleased to continue to publish the very best from writers encompassing the spectrum of age, ethnicity, nationality, and gender.

Finally, as always, many thanks to those who submit work to Corium, and to our contributors and readers who inspire us to do what we do. We at Corium Magazine wish you very happy holidays and a successful and productive new year!

Best regards,

Lauren Becker
