Venomous Fang Blenny
Elizabeth Kate Switaj

like heroin in my neoprene skin
brilliant fish where my bones
expelled already my colony
polyps
white
I am white
addicted to bleaching and bite
and nothing hurts where fangs begin

I was never your color
-ful wonderland—I never held
your breath
and mine
is carried in
