We are writers. We submit. We follow guidelines. We’d really appreciate if you’d follow ours. We publish:
Short Fiction: 1,000-4,000 words; Limit: one story
Very Short Fiction: Fewer than 1000 words; Limit 1-3 pieces
Poetry: Fewer than 50 lines per poem; Limit 3-5 poems
Artwork: 1-5 pieces
Please note that we do NOT accept previously published work.
We use Submishmash as our submissions manager. Submit in only one category. Submit multiple pieces of very short fiction individually. Submit multiple pieces of poetry as a single submission. To withdraw part of a poetry submission, please contact Poetry Editor, Heather Fowler, at hfowler (at) coriummagazine (dot) com. If you encounter problems with the submissions manager, please contact Lauren Becker at lbecker (at) coriummagazine (dot) com.
Include a short bio in the space included. Please do not include your total number of publication credits or each of their names, as this makes us itchy. Up to four or five is more than sufficient. Otherwise, we leave you to your devices.
We encourage simultaneous submissions. You know the rest …
We are not able to pay and do not expect to be at any time. We wish we could.
We know it is unnecessary to tell you to proofread, stay within word counts and send us your best work. You are very smart people.
Submissions are open every day of the year. We hope to respond within one month. However, given the number of submissions, please be advised that responses may take up to two months. At times, we will provide constructive feedback on pieces we do not accept. Please let us know if you would prefer a form response.
We are listed on Duotrope and appreciate your reports regarding the outcome of your submission(s).
Corium retains first North American serial rights and online serial rights for accepted work. All rights revert to the writer upon publication. You will be immortalized in our archives.
